Only Time Will Tell
By Jeffrey Archer ~ Wed, 2010-07-28 09:42
This morning I handed in to my publishers, the first volume of The Clifton Chronicles, Only Time Will Tell. Volume One spans the period from 1920 to the outbreak of the Second World War in 1940; the first twenty years of Harry Clifton's life. I now have that agonising wait that all authors go through, until I hear what the publisher thinks of the book, which will probably be on Monday morning. The book will be published in April or May next year, by which time I will be well into volume two, Tempered By War, 1940-1960.

On Tuesday 17 May 2011, my son Phil, gave me a copy of Only Time Will Tell as a present. Stared reading the book on the following Thursday and finished on the Saturday. Brilliant reading. Can't wait for the follow up.
My brother introduced me to "As The Crow Flies" many years ago and ever since i have read every one of your books and loved them all. You are by far my favorite author. I am truly looking forward to what I am sure will be your next masterpiece "The Clifton Chronicles" and many to follow I hope.
I first picked up Kane & Abel on a whim (when it was first released) and I have been hooked ever since.
When should I start stalking the bookstores for "Only Time Will Tell"?
Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
I've recently started reading you (thanks to the good recommendation of my mom) and I've loved everything so far. Kane and Abel was fantastic and I didn't want to the book to end because I felt as though I found lifelong friends in them. Ironically though, I couldn't wait for A Prisoner of Birth to end because I was excited to see how everything would turn out.
You just continue to surprise me in your books. I've read Prodigal Daughter and False Impressions as well.
its great to read about your new book THE CLIFTON CHRONICLES. You are the most read British author in India, followed by Ken Follett, Frederick Forsyth and John Le Carre...not necessarily in the same order. I have noticed some strange coincidences betwee you and Mr. Follett.. You were a strong figure of the Conservative Party while Mr. Follett is known to be a staunch Labour Party activist. Now you are on work on a historical novel trilogy which will cover events between 1920 and 2020. At the same time Mr.Folleett is also on work on a novel trilogy titled FALL OF THE GIANTS which again covers the period in history over the past 100 years. coincidence or what....????
